Motivation is an essential factor for achieving success in learning English as a second language. Several studies have reported that learners' experiences during communication skills classes can significantly impact their motivation to enhance language proficiency. A quantitative approach done explore among pre-university students. The instrument used survey, rooted from Pintrich De Groot (1990) Campos et al (2011) causes burnout. purposive sample 271 UiTM Centre Foundation Studies students responded survey. findings suggest role emotional intelligence important managing stress burnout, channelling positive emotions feelings while could reduce exhaustion increase one’s motivation.
